We depart from our home at 6:30 AM (in Serpong, Banten), arrived in Puncak area at 10:00 AM. We stopped by at Cibubur Rest Area for a toilet & coffee break. The traffic was already heavy that morning. Luckily, I prepared some food and drinks for the road.
Traffic in Puncak area is always crowded, because the main road is narrow. At certain times, one-way system is applied but without any fixed schedule, depends on the traffic situation. I'd say it's more like gambling (lol).
That was why we decided to depart early in the morning, though check in time at the hotel was at 2 PM. At 10:30 AM, we arrived at Grand Diara Hotel. We confirmed our bookings (4 rooms) and drop our luggage there, then went to The Ranch Mega Mendung on foot (it's literally next to the hotel, only 5 minutes away).

This is the newest holiday destination in the area (for now). It is a franchise of the same tourist attraction with the same name in Lembang. Entering this place reminded me of Farmhouse in Lembang, plus a small horse track.
The entrance fee was Rp.20.000/person. The ticket can be redeemed for a cup of milk, or as a discount voucher for dine-in meals at the restaurant (not applicable for snacks).
The facilities are:
▷ horse riding (Rp.25.000 + costume)
▷ rabbit park (Rp.20.000 + some veggies for feeding the rabbits)
▷ cow feeding
▷ sheep herding
▷ archery
▷ trampoline
▷ a restaurant & a cafe
▷ a souvenir store
▷ a factory outlet (in a separated building)
▷ a musholla (praying room)
▷ many snack booths

What we loved about this place:
😍 The facilities were very well maintained and clean.
😍 Although some parts of the garden hadn't finished yet, the landscape was very well made.
😍 Accessible for baby strollers and wheelchairs.
😍 The place wasn't crowded at all, considering it was on Saturday. Maybe people haven't noticed it yet, lucky for us!
😍 So many beautiful spots to take photos at.
What we didn't too crazy about:
😩 The restaurant was big, but the waiters were just standing at one corner, so we had to raise our voices to catch their attention.
😩 I ordered "mie tektek" (Javanese style steamed noodle), but I didn't like it because it was too sweet. However, my husband enjoyed his fried rice and my boys liked their dory fish & chips.
My tips for you if you're planning to go there:
1. If you depart from Jakarta or Bogor, go early in the morning to avoid the traffic jam in Puncak area. Prepare some food, snacks and drinks for the road.
2. Anticipate the weather, it can suddenly rain/shower for a while, then sunny, then rain again.
3. Bring cash. I'm not sure if they accept credit/debit cards because the place is still newly opened.
We spent almost 5 hours there (11 AM to 4 PM), but it seemed not enough. I still wanted to take more photos because the garden and the flowers were sooo beautiful. And the boys enjoyed their time, as well. We all really had a great time there and will definitely be back (hopefully soon) 😊
